Current versions of “AI” as of 2023, are assistive and help daily tasks to be more efficient. It reduces the number of hours to get a task done.
However, as in the example of the invention of calculators, humans will be dependent on the machine to provide answers, reducing the need to think ultimately.
The bigger danger is the evolution of AI, whereby the very need to work, becomes obsolete. If or when we reach such stage, the idleness of people will reduce or eliminate the very existence of humanity on earth.
